How to Convert a Decimal to a Fraction

Every terminating decimal can be written as a fraction. The method is straightforward:

1. Count the decimal places (e.g., 0.75 has 2 decimal places).
2. Write the decimal over 10ⁿ where n is the number of decimal places (e.g., 75/100).
3. Simplify the fraction by dividing both parts by their GCD (e.g., 75/100 → 3/4).

For negative decimals, convert the absolute value and apply the negative sign to the numerator at the end.
