How to Compare Two Fractions

The easiest method is cross-multiplication: multiply the numerator of each fraction by the denominator of the other and compare the products.

Example: Compare 3/4 vs 5/7 → 3×7 = 21 vs 5×4 = 20. Since 21 > 20, then 3/4 > 5/7.

Alternatively, convert both to a common denominator or use our fraction to decimal calculator and compare the results.
